Dan North-Public Transit Co. Ltd. is the concessioner of the Haifa Metronit, the first bus rapid transit (BRT) system in Israel. The Metronit was designated to become the backbone of the new transportation system in the metropolitan area of Haifa and has reached an average of 85,000 rides per day.

The system currently employs 100 high-capacity articulated buses on three express lanes, with a total length of 60 km. In addition, 6 hybrid Metronit buses (combination of diesel-electric propulsion systems) will be operated on a trial basis, the results of which will determine whether to expand their use within the Metronit system
