Energy Works (Hull) Limited serves as the Special Purpose Company responsible for overseeing the construction and operation of a 28 MWp waste-to-energy gasification facility situated in Hull, located in the northeastern region of England. This facility stands as one of the largest of its kind in the area. The plant aims to process an annual amount of 240,000 tons of refused-derived fuel (RDF).
The facility's design encompasses a single fluidized bed gasifier that supplies both a boiler and a steam turbine generator. Additionally, it features on-site amenities such as feedstock storage and mechanical pre-treatment of waste (MPT). The plant is continuously enhancing its processes and operations, with the overarching aim of realizing its full potential.
