Megalim Solar Power Ltd. is the SPC concessionaire of the Ashalim "Plot B" 28 year B.O.T project for the construction and operation of a concentrated solar power (CSP) tower-design electricity generation facility at a total installed capacity of 121 MW.
The project is currently being built by General Electric (GE), relying on the proprietary technology developed by BrightSource Energy, the world leading technology provider for tower CSP facilities.
he project will generate enough power to meet the electricity needs of more than 120,000 homes and avoid 110,000 tons of CO2 emissions each year over the course of its life. Partners are GE and BrightSource Industries.
